THE CODE OF CONDUCT OF FITNESS OR GYM CLIENT

So that the visit to our fitness area and gym would warrant maximum satisfaction, we kindly ask you to acquaintance yourself with our code of conduct.

  • I will wear appropriate sports clothing and footwear to gym. To ensure high standard of hygiene and personal comfort, I will never appear barefoot or half-dressed.
  • I will not bring young children with me to the gym or let them use exercise machines unattended.
  • I will visit the gym only when sober and odourless. This is because different odours could disturb other clients and cause breathing problems.
  • In order to maximise gain and to avoid injuries, I will select weights that are best suited for me and are appropriate for the exercises I will be conducting.
  • I will never throw weights (dumbbells, weight discs, etc.) onto the floor with loud bangs and will put them down with minimal noise, instead.
  • When using an exercise machine, I will let the weights fall back gradually and without loud clanks. This is because clanking disturbs other clients and damages the machines. Clanking weights also works to show that inappropriate weights have been selected and that the exerciser is trying to perform on a level beyond his/her abilities.
  • After performing exercises, I will take the equipment used back to its original place in order to be civil towards the next exerciser.
  • After finishing using an exercise device I will wipe the sweat off with tissue paper. This is common courtesy toward other clients so that they could enjoy their exercises. I would not want to exercise in someone else's sweat either, now would I?
  • I will never smoke in the gym. There are other places available for smoking.
  • In order not to disturb other clients who are trying to focus on their exercises, I will not shout or chat pointlessly.
  • I will not disturb anyone who is in the middle of performing an exercise. If highly necessary, I will ask my question after the exerciser has finished the exercise.
  • If someone is using the mirror in order to perform exercises correctly, I will avoid walking in front of the mirror or obstructing the view in any other way.
  • I will always ask for permission to use an exercising device that someone else recently used.
  • I am well-natured and polite towards other visitors of the gym.
